Lesson Three – Spider Monkeys

This science teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to identify, locate and describe the function of some of the different parts of a spider monkey that can be found living in a jungle habitat.

The class can select and produce matching labels explaining how spider monkeys use different parts of their body to perform functions in a jungle habitat such as tails for balance and movement.

The interactive presentation can be used to explore the function of some of the different parts of an animal that lives in a jungle habitat.

This lesson is part of a science scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and compare some of the different animals that can be found living in a jungle habitat including in the tree canopy and undergrowth.
