Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe clothing that can provide protection from the seasonal weather during summer and winter, templates to select and record clothing for a specific season and use matching vocabulary in a sentence [enlarge to A3] and a set of cards to sort items of clothing that can be worn in different seasons of the year.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore typical weather patterns that can be experienced between different seasons during the year.
This lesson is part of a science scheme of work to get the children to identify, observe and record some of changes to the natural world during the winter season including changes to daylight hours, temperature and animal habitats. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
