Two Digit Addition

This maths scheme of work for Key Stage One gets the children to practise solving a range of number problems by adding pairs of two digit numbers using informal and informal methods of calculation including exchange between place value. The class can use templates to illustrate how to complete each addition sum.

Trick or Treat
Calculate and record the numbers of sweets that can be gathered when trick or treating on Halloween by adding different pairs of two digit numbers

Explain and model how to add pairs of two digit numbers with one exchange between place value to calculate the cost of buying clothing to support a country’s football team
