Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to describe and compare a range of different toys from the past and today and sets of cards to identify and sort words that can be used to describe things from the past and today and select and sort a selection of different toys into matching groups by their age.

The interactive presentation can be used to explore how to compare and group some different types of toys by their age using matching time vocabulary words.

This lesson is part of a history scheme of work to get the children to investigate and record how a selection of different toys and games owned by families have changed and developed over time. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
