This geography teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to investigate and record some of the similarities and differences between the physical and political features found in a city or farm location.
The class can make lists of events and experiences that can only be completed on a farm or in a city and other things that can be completed in both places.

Activities in this teaching pack include a worksheet to identify and record some of the different things that might happen in a city or farm location, a template to select and name how a city or farm can be the same or different and a set of cards to sort between a range of different events and experiences that can be completed in a city and on a farm.
The interactive presentation gets the children to investigate and record the similarities and differences between a city or farm location.
This lesson is part of a geography scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and compare the location and function of farms in relation to other places and activities including food production using crops and animals. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
