Lesson Two – Witch’s Kitchen

This English teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to practise using the conjunction and to co-ordinate pairs of matching sentence clauses about some of the special things that a witch might use when making a potion.

The class can select special vocabulary words to use in sentences about potions to suggest how they can be used to achieve different effects and outcomes.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to use the conjunction and to co-ordinate sentence clauses about things a witch might use when making a potion.

This lesson is part of an English scheme of work to get the children to select and write sets of instructions that a witch can follow when making a range of potions to use when casting different spells.
