Lesson Six – Sandwich Preparation

Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to identify the sequence of steps that someone needs to follow to make a type of food snack and a template to compare and evaluate completed food products and suggest improvements to the recipe.
The interactive presentation can be used to explore how to prepare and taste a range of different foods that could be used on a selection of sandwiches.
This lesson is part of a design technology scheme of work to get the children to select and prepare a range of different foods to use when following a recipe to make a sandwich for a picnic. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
