Lesson One – Mystery Objects

This computing teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to explore how to select and work with special descriptive vocabulary words to describe a range of different objects that are linked to bicycles.

The class can produce and present some vocabulary word tags which can be used to label some of the different parts that can be found on a bicycle such as the saddle and brakes.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe the location and function of different parts of a bicycle and a set of cards to name and label some of the special parts that can be found on a bicycle when working with a graphic illustration.

The interactive presentation can be used to explore how to select and use special descriptive vocabulary words to describe a range of different objects linked to bicycles.

This lesson is part of a computing scheme of work to get the children to develop and refine word processing skills when labelling and organising different parts and equipment that can be used when riding a bicycle.
