Lesson Four – Sculpture Design

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify vocabulary words that can be used to describe different materials that can be seen at the seaside and a set of cards to select and work with shapes to use in artwork reflecting seaside objects.

This lesson is part of an art and design scheme of work to get the children to select and use a range of different natural materials found on a beach to produce some model sculptures on the theme of the seaside. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
