How to download our teaching packs and resources to your device

Please use the information below to find answers to any queries that you might have about subscribing to Clickprimary and using our teaching resources. If you cannot find the information that you need then please contact us so that we can help further.

Once you have found one of our teaching packs that you would like to teach you can click on the blue button to start the download. A window should pop-up asking where you would like to save the teaching pack to your device. Choose a location and then click ok to begin the download. It should only take a few moments to download the teaching pack but the download might be delayed and placed inside a queue if the site is busy. Please be patient and and wait for the download to start and complete. If you keep clicking the blue button this will only delay the download further.

Most of our teaching resources can be downloaded as zip files. You should already have an archive program or application on your device which you can use to open the zip files. If you don’t have a suitable program or application then you can download a free program to open the zip files such as using 7-Zip.

If the blue download button does not appear to be working then the download might have been blocked by your web browser. You can try right-clicking on the blue download button and choose the option to ‘save link as’ which should bring up a box where you can specify where to save the file to your device.

If you use the Chrome web browser to access Clickprimary then you might run into a few problems when trying to download some of our teaching packs. The Chrome browser will block downloads of ZIP files unless you change some of the settings. We recommend using the FireFox browser to access Clickprimary which does not have these issues.

You can update the settings using the Chrome browser to make it easier to download our teaching packs. Open up the Chrome web browser and load the Clickprimary homepage. Next click on the padlock to the left of the name of our site and choose the option for site settings. In the tab that will open up you need to make sure that automatic downloads and insecure content are allowed for Clickprimary . This will make sure that your Chrome browser will allow downloads of ZIP files from our web server without any problems.

You should also double check that the privacy and security settings in your Chrome web browser are set-up to allow sites to automatically download multiple files. You can update this option by going into the privacy and security settings and choosing the option for automatic downloads.

If you have any more queries about using the Chrome web browser to download our teaching files then please contact us so that we can help further further.
