Helping Others

This personal and social education teaching pack for the Foundation Stage gets the children to explore how to identify and record some of the different ways of helping and supporting other pupils that are part of the school community.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe different ways of helping and supporting others in the school and a template to work with a range of materials to design and make a medal to thank other pupils in the class for their support.

This lesson is part of a personal and social education scheme of work to get the children to investigate, describe and model some of the special ways of providing practical, spiritual and emotional support to other pupils in the school. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
