Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe pairs of similar shapes by their matching properties and a template to practise shaping and combining materials to decorate a shape to produce a mask to wear to a family Easter party.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to bake a selection of biscuits using different shapes that can be used to represent Easter themes and celebrations.
This lesson is part of a numeracy scheme of work to get the children to identify and describe the properties of different 2D shapes when creating food snacks and decorations to celebrate Easter.
