Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to describe how to order vocabulary to record different sentences about flowers, a set of cards to build different sentences by ordering sets of words about flowers that could be displayed in a vase and a template to complete a sentence describing the colour, shape and size of a flower.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to order sets of vocabulary words to build sentences to describe different flowers.
This lesson is part of a literacy scheme of work to get the children to identify and model how to build sentences on a range of different topics and themes by sequencing and ordering sets of matching vocabulary words. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
