Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to describe the content and structure of a traditional story poem of a nursery rhyme, a set of cards to practise building a range of different cvc words that begin with the same initial sound and a worksheet to play a game to identify and match different words beginning with the same initial sounds.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore some of the initial phonemes used in words as part of a traditional story poem of a nursery rhyme.
