Download this teaching pack including a lesson plan, classroom activities and an interactive presentation to read and sequence each of the different parts of a narrative story about a caterpillar that uses patterned language to describe events experienced by the main character

Activities in this teaching pack include a template to practise writing alphabet letters to match initial phoneme sounds for some of their favourite foods and a set of cards to identify and complete different sections of the alphabet to record matching sets of three letters.

This lesson is part of a literacy scheme of work to get the children to investigate examples of patterned language used to sequence events in a story about a caterpillar and learn the names and sounds for each letter of the alphabet.
