This curriculum topic scheme of work for the Foundation Stage gets the children to investigate the effect of winter on different landscapes and animals. The class identify and record how animals have adapted to living in cold conditions in a range of habitats around the world.

Practise using vocabulary words and non-standard measurements to find and compare the length of different things that can found in a garden

Identify and recount events and experiences to describe what happened when on holiday at the seaside using sentences in the past tense

Holiday Shirts
Produce items of clothing to wear on a holiday to a particular location by selecting and using shapes to represent different places

Robot Movements
Explain and model how to control the direction and position of a robot when moving about the classroom to perform different functions
