Lesson One – What Butterfly

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to describe shapes, colours and patterns seen on different species of butterfly and identify the names and locations of different parts that are common to all butterflies and a template to record the shapes, colours and patterns that can be seen on butterflies visiting the school grounds.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore and describe the similarities and differences that can be seen between different species of butterfly that might visit a garden area.
