Friendships

This assembly scheme of work for Key Stage One gets the children to explore how to develop strong and positive friendships skills with others in a range of situations and scenarios. The class can describe effective ways of working in a team to achieve different objectives.

Teamwork
Use a traditional story to discuss and reflect on the common theme of working together to provide help and support when solving a problem

Anger Management
Identify and describe some of the effective ways in dealing with and managing conflict situations with others

Enormous Turnip
identify and describe different ways of supporting other people when at home or in school in a range of situations and scenarios

Identify and model some of the different calculation techniques that can be used when adding pairs of single digit numbers

Summer Stories
Practise composing and presenting narrative stories with familiar settings to illustrate the events and experiences that could happen during the summer

Investigate how to use concrete equipment, diagrams and calculations to identify and record the matching fractions of different numbers

Family Holiday Lists
Explore how to compile sentences punctuated using commas to list some of the special things that families can use, complete and experience on a holiday
